Mosquito & Tick Services

Comprehensive Mosquito & Tick Control for Warren County Yards

We combine spray treatments, biological control stations, and targeted yard applications to give you the most thorough coverage available.

Take Back Your Outdoor Space

Mosquitoes and ticks don't just ruin a backyard cookout — they carry real health risks including West Nile virus and Lyme disease. Our treatments dramatically reduce mosquito and tick populations so you can use your yard again.

  • Spray applications targeting resting sites
  • EPA-approved, family and pet-safe formulas
  • Treatments applied every 3–4 weeks during season
  • Results visible within 24–48 hours

In2Care Mosquito Stations

We use In2Care Mosquito Stations — an innovative, eco-friendly system that attracts mosquitoes, infects them with a slow-acting biological agent, and spreads it to breeding sites throughout your property. It targets the population at the source.

  • In2Care Mosquito Stations installed around your property
  • Targets larvae in breeding sites traditional sprays miss
  • Uses naturally occurring biological agents
  • Continuous protection between spray visits

Tick Treatment for Your Yard

Ticks in Ohio are most active spring through fall, but can be present year-round in wooded and brushy areas. Our targeted tick treatments focus on the perimeter, leaf litter, and transition zones where ticks live and wait for a host.

  • Perimeter and border area treatments
  • Leaf litter and brush zone applications
  • Chigger control included
  • Six-month flea & tick program available

Seasonal Spray Programs

A single treatment helps, but a seasonal program keeps populations suppressed from the first warm days of spring through the end of fall. Our recurring programs give you consistent protection without having to remember to call.

  • Seasonal programs starting in May
  • Treatments every 3–4 weeks
  • Larvicide treatments for standing water
  • Flea, tick, and mosquito all covered

Mosquito & Tick Control FAQ

Answers from Warren County's mosquito and tick control specialists. Questions? Contact us directly.

When is mosquito season in Warren County, Ohio?
Mosquito season in Warren County runs from late April through October, with peak activity in June, July, and August when temperatures consistently exceed 70°F. Tick activity begins earlier — black-legged ticks (the primary Lyme disease vector in Ohio) are active from March through November and can be present year-round in wooded areas. The Ohio Department of Health reports West Nile virus activity in the region every year from July through September. Starting a seasonal spray program in May gives you protection in place before populations peak.
How long does mosquito treatment last?
A single spray application suppresses adult mosquito populations for approximately 3–4 weeks, after which new mosquitoes hatch from untreated breeding sites. This is why a seasonal program — with treatments every 3–4 weeks from May through October — maintains continuous suppression rather than letting populations rebuild between one-time treatments. In2Care Mosquito Stations work continuously between spray visits, targeting larvae in breeding sites before they become adults.
What is In2Care and how does it work?
In2Care Mosquito Stations are eco-friendly biological control devices that attract egg-laying mosquitoes with a specially formulated water solution, then infect them with a naturally occurring biological agent (a slow-acting fungus and a larvicide). Infected mosquitoes carry the agent back to their breeding sites, spreading it to larvae throughout the property. The system targets larvae in standing water that spray treatments can't reach — under decks, in plant pots, in gutters. In2Care is approved by the EPA and is safe for children, pets, and beneficial insects like bees.
Are mosquito and tick treatments safe for my kids and pets?
Yes. All products Towne Pest Control uses for mosquito and tick treatments are EPA-registered for residential use and applied according to label instructions. Spray formulas are safe once dry, typically within 30–60 minutes of application. In2Care Mosquito Stations use biological agents (not synthetic pesticides) and are safe for children and pets upon installation. Tick treatments target transition zones, leaf litter, and perimeter areas — not open lawn where children and pets spend time. We also offer fully organic spray options upon request.
Do you treat for ticks separately from mosquitoes?
Yes, though the two services are often combined. Our six-month flea and tick program targets the perimeter, leaf litter, brush zones, and transition areas where ticks wait for hosts — different zones from where mosquito sprays are applied. Ticks in Ohio include the American dog tick, deer tick (black-legged tick), and lone star tick. Each species has different peak activity periods and habitat preferences. A combined mosquito and tick seasonal program is available, which covers both pests in a single recurring service.
How many treatments do I need per season?
For a full seasonal mosquito program, we recommend 5–7 treatments spaced 3–4 weeks apart, starting in May and running through October. For tick control only, 3–4 treatments timed to peak activity periods (early spring, early summer, early fall) are typically sufficient for most Warren County properties. One-time treatments are also available if you're preparing for a specific outdoor event. No contracts are required — you can choose a one-time service or a seasonal program.
